Our balustrades comply with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards to provide maximum safety and durability.
- Height Requirements: For balconies, decks, and raised areas, balustrades must be at least 1,000 mm high, while staircases and ramps require a minimum handrail height of 865 mm from the nosing of the stair tread.
- Spacing & Openings: To prevent small children from slipping through, any gaps within the balustrade must not allow a 125 mm sphere to pass through.
- Climbability Restrictions: For areas with a fall risk of over 4 meters, horizontal elements between 150 mm and 760 mm above the floor must be designed to prevent climbing.
- Strength & Durability: Our balustrades are engineered to meet AS/NZS 1170.1 load requirements, ensuring they can withstand everyday use and impacts without compromising safety.
